Greatest Hits Night - The Original Tour (Season One)
Last night we finally got to have our Bar Tuesdays Greatest Hits night celebrating our favorite bars from the original 15 that we visited. We had planned on going to our top 3 bars, but we ended up deciding to just do the top 2 last night. Our first stop was our #1 pick, Ye Olde Boulevard, home of the greatest bartender ever, Norma. When I walked in the door, she was all excited to see me and said, “Pam, right?” Norma rules.
The rest of the crew started to trickle in, and soon we had the place rocking. Kristin made her triumphant return to Bar Tuesdays after missing the last 4 when she was in Spain for the month of August:

It was great to have her back, as well as Dan, who was also out of town for the month of August:

I love the fact that upon his return to Bar Tuesdays, one of the first things he does is indulge in a $1.00 corn dog at Ye Olde Boulevard. Speaking of which, an alarming number of folks in our group did the same last night. I believe six of us ate corn dogs, and another brave soul went crazy with a grilled cheese. My corn dog cherry was popped last night when Norma and the crew presented me with a free drink ad corn dog in honor of my birthday:

Norma instructed me to make a wish and blow on the steam coming off the top of the corn dog. Then she cackled and yelled, “Then deep throat it!” Norma seriously needs to be at every bar we go to. Michael instantly loved her when she turned on one of the unused TVs for him so he could watch the Big Brother finale. This is pretty much all we saw of Michael for about 45 minutes last night:

Meanwhile, Tommy was racking up the points on the game machine:

And I was getting some birthday love from Frito and Paul:

Sadly, we couldn’t spend the entire night at Ye Olde Boulevard, as we still had our #2 bar to hit, so we had to say goodbye to Norma, but promised to come back soon. Before we left, we coaxed her out from behind the bar for a group shot. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Norma, the best bartender in town:

I love that picture of us – I think it captures the fun we have on our adventures.
Anyhoo, after we left the Boulevard, we headed over to our #2 bar:

Hmm…Big Buck Hunter machine, peanut shells on the floor…why, we must be at Track 84!

Yep – there’s the barber chair!
So yes, we headed over to Track 84 to finish off the rest of our night and hijacked the jukebox HARD (as only we can do). Missy and Paul serenaded the bar for most of the night, with Paul re-enacting part of his now legendary karaoke performance of Fergalicious at one point. We also noticed something that we didn’t catch on our first trip to the Track – the brand name on one of the TVs:

Changchong? That may be the greatest name for a TV brand EVER. It also makes me think that Rosie O’Donnell is going to pop up at any moment and start talking about drunk Danny DeVito.
David wasn’t at Track 84 the first time around, so he was very excited to find this sign hanging up:

Frito and I also got to sit in the little breakfast nook area that I was eyeing the last time. Here I am examining his, uh, nuts:

I think we went through half of that barrel of peanuts last night. Meanwhile, Lauren caught the eye of the bartender, who made her a special drink at one point. This led to the quote of the night after she tried it out: “This tastes like date rape!” Looks a little like it, too:

Not too long after that, we wound down our evening and got ready to head out. It was great to have everyone back together again, and it was a fun way to spend a birthday. Especially when Norma is dancing her ass off behind the bar to our selections on the jukebox and singing along to perverted lyrics. Awesome.
I can’t wait to see what awaits us when we begin Season Two in 2 weeks and break the tour open statewide. Stay tuned!
In the meantime, enjoy these pictures I took at the end of the night of Paul, Missy and Frito inside the filthy tubes behind Track 84. We are classy!

Look at Norma...that sexy bitch!
