Week Three, Two Bars.
First up, Cornerstone Pub:
This bar is located in the parking lot of a local mall, and is in a plaza that is also home to one of the greatest "Unintentional Offer Of Beastiality" signs around:

Poor puppies.
Anyhoo, the bar itself was okay - the floors were kind of suspect and the windows and window ledges were as filthy as can be, but other than that, it was unremarkable. It kind of had too big of a menu to qualify as a good Bar Tuesday venue (we're still curious about the pepperoni platter), and the bar itself was packed. Since there were no seats at he actual bar, we were relegated to one of the four tiny side tables that were big enough for three people at most. Of course, there were nine of us in the group that night, so we were all kind of jammed in the corner. Some of us didn't mind too much:

However, some of us did mind the close quarters as poor Paul was seated in front of the air conditioner, which kept spraying some sort of liquid on him about every thirty seconds. He was not pleased:

Since there was no jukebox in the place and the NBA playoff game had the attention of most, we grew bored and decided to jump ship after an hour and a half and head to another bar. We wanted to go to a really bad dance club down the street, but we were saddened to find out that the club isn't open on Tuesdays. So instead, we decided to head on back to our favorite bar in the city, and home of Norma, aka The Greatest Bartender Ever - that's right, we were bringing it back to Ye Olde Boulevard, Season One Bonus and Greatest Hits Night bar.
You guys? People cheered when we walked in.
As Michael sang, "Sometimes you want to go where Norma knows your name...." So true. Bar Tuesday Newbie Manda exclaimed, "Wow, that was quite a reception." It was like a hero's welcome. Man, I love the Boulevard. I'm happy to report that it was just as awesome as ever:

Paul, Manda and I headed over to the jukebox after we got our drinks:

While Tommy, Frito and Michael rocked the Photo Hunt on the video game machine:

NOW we had a Bar Tuesdays on our hands.
As always, I continued my tradition of eating chips at almost every bar we go to that offers them:

Michael also got some cheap thrills as a drunk woman at the bar kept grabbing his ass whenever he walked by. Norma scolded her after the second grab, but hey - it's Bar Tuesday - asses are up for the grabbing. I was pleased by the appearance of some cute skater boys. Oh, how I love the skaters. At one point, I dragged David outside to where they were congregating and we noticed some brass lions on the back lawn. This led to an impromptu photo shoot that had me laughing so hard that my stomach hurt. There are SO many fun things to take pictures with, all right outside good ol' Ye Olde Boulevard. Why have we not done this before? There's stuff in the yard of the bar as well as a donut shop and a car wash next door. I mean, how can you pass up the chance to shit some bricks?

Or, for that matter, who doesn't want to ride a brass lion?

After a little while, Michael and Tommy came outside to see what David and I were doing, and that's when they joined in our photo shoot and things just turned even funnier and quite inappropriate. We took quite a few pictures, so I posted them on a separate page instead of having to list them all here (especially since many of them involve us doing inappropriate things with car wash vacuum hoses), but here's a little taste of what we got ourselves into:

Click here to see the complete photo shoot. Since we had so much fun with it, we will probably start doing a new series of photo shoots called "What's Fun Outside of the Bar?" I can't wait. In the meantime, do enjoy one of my favorite photos from this week's shoot:

When we finally left the bar later in the evening, everyone waved and said goodbye and gave us mad love. Oh, how we love the Boulevard. We'll be back soon, no doubt about that.
Next Week: We begin a Chinese Restaurant Bar Mini-Tour. Fear the Scorpion Bowls.

Bar Tuesday Discussion Topic of the Night: On Saturday, there was a stabbing at last week's Bar Tuesday venue, good ol' Eddie's: A Drinking Establishment, which has now been renamed "Eddie's: A Stabbing Establishment" by Kevin. Here's a link to the local news report that ran Saturday night. Last year they found a murder suspect hiding out at Groucho's, and now this - we do sure know how to pick 'em!
Seriously - where did you find a shirt that says 'Drive Shaft'?
I think I need one.
